Gwarinpa is already on our zone map. It has a transport fee set, it shows up as an option the moment you open the booking form, and behind the scenes it's built to share a washer pool with Kubwa next door. But we're being careful about what we call "live," and honestly, Gwarinpa isn't quite there yet the way Kubwa is. Not because we don't want it to be, but because we'd rather tell you that plainly than have you book and wait.
Why we're not calling it live
Kubwa earned the right to be our proof zone because we had enough washers verified, trained, and actually available on the ground before we ever let a customer pay for a slot. Gwarinpa is bigger, more spread out, and the estates work differently: gate access, security sign-in, water sources that vary block to block. We'd rather grow into it properly than fill a booking with a washer who has to cross half the city and show up late, or worse, not show up at all.
What "shared pool" actually means right now
Because Kubwa and Gwarinpa sit in the same zone group on our backend, a washer registered in Kubwa can technically pick up a Gwarinpa job. In practice, that only happens occasionally, when someone's already headed that direction. It's not the same as having dedicated Gwarinpa washers who know the estates, live nearby, and can turn a booking around quickly and reliably, and that's the bar we're holding ourselves to before we call it live.
We'd rather say "not yet" honestly than say "yes" and let you down.
What moves us from "next" to "live"
- Enough Gwarinpa-based washer applications to cover the estate reliably. This is largely driven by how many bookings and interest we're seeing from the area.
- A short vetting run, the same identity check and WhatsApp interview process every Kubwa washer went through first.
- A test batch of real bookings before we open it up fully and start writing about it the way we write about Kubwa.
How to actually move this along
If you're in Gwarinpa and want this to happen sooner, the most useful thing you can do is message us directly on WhatsApp or Instagram and tell us you're interested. Demand signal is genuinely what decides which zone we open next. If you know someone who washes cars for a living in or around Gwarinpa, our partner application is open, and that's the other half of the equation.
